11月にスペインのバレンシアで開かれたラムサールCOP8の決議和訳作 業が始まり、環境省から作業を委託された国際湿地保全連合日本委員会(W IJ)が協力者を募集しています。

湿地環境の保全に取組むラムサール条約の第8回締約国会議が去る11月18日か ら26日まで,スペインのバレンシアで開催されました.会議は『湿地:水とい のち,そして文化』をテーマに掲げ,5つのテーマごとの分科会や数々のサイ ドイベントなどを開きながら,46の決議が全体会合で採択されました.
1993年に釧路で開催された第5回会議より,決議の和訳を含む「締約国会議の 記録」が環境庁(当時)等により作成されています.国際湿地保全連合日本委 員会では,環境省よりの委託をうけ,今回の会議の記録を作成することになり ました.総合監修には,小林聡史氏(釧路公立大学)・柏木実氏(日本湿地 ネットワーク)・宮林泰彦氏(国際湿地保全連合日本委員会)があたります.
作業は,業者による粗訳(2ヶ月),各決議の粗訳の監修(1ヶ月),総合監 修と印刷(1ヶ月)の手順で,2003年4月に発刊するスケジュールとなってい ます.そこで,国際湿地保全連合日本委員会では,2003年2月中旬から3月中 旬にかけて(見込み)各決議の粗訳の監修作業に参加協力してくださる専門 家・NGOメンバーを募集します(薄謝).
